It's obviously weird to see a giant corporation make such a generic, very expensive action/comedy film, featuring a lot of product placement, and have the theme be "profit driven corporations are bad". There's such an enormous disconnect between what the film is saying and what it's doing, it feels like a joke. --- I have no idea whether or not he's a racist, but apparently there are recordings of him using racial slurs so it's a distinct possibility. <cite>Blighboy posted [p:958682407] in I am watch... If anything, it's going to be really hard for theaters to push back on this even once the world tends to sort itself out a bit more, because this is essentially what studios and streaming platforms have wanted for years, so they're not going to want to give it up any time soon. And now that they have it, the usual threats from theaters to keep it from happening in the first place are a lot more toothless.
