the opposite, i have no patience for either getting people together reliably for mostly multiplayer games or for putting up with pugs where maybe one out of five games will be tolerable

I'm the opposite. I've grown out of competitive multiplayer games. Zero desire to play them when I can actually have fun in a singleplayer game or a cooperative game.

I can't fathom how I ever had fun getting mad 90% of the time in multiplayer games getting all stressed out because a match wasn't going my way.

Just wait for TFW you realize that it's the same multiplayer mindset in every multiplayer game, regardless of the game: just the same things over and over in a slightly different skin.

Then you'll [maybe] realize the relaxing joy of a singleplayer game, moving at your own pace and doing what you want, when you want, simply because you can do so in peace.

E.g. no random asshat loudly proclaiming over a mike that they want to suck farts straight out of your arse.

Sometimes I like a good endless game, like a roguelike or a simple multiplayer game where you can turn off the sound, listen to music and zone out.

Other times, I want to play Pokemon Emerald for like the 15th time, or play a new linear game like Castlevania. I don't think I could bear to play one style of game over the other without that other option being there to fall back on.

I actually became too good at multi-player games, so I stopped playing them. I can only go on so many 60+ match win streaks in fighting games, or destroy so many TDM rooms in FPS games before it became boring.

Multi-player is basically easy mode for casuals

Single player atleast has interesting stories.

Single player is great. I don't care that my experience is the same as others. All I care about is that the experience is fun. I actually prefer the single player experience because of how detailed the story can be.

That said, I will be playing Halo Infinite multiplayer when that comes out.

Yeah playing against computers doesnt appeal to me. Replaying the same story repeatedly doesnt appeal to me. Playing games that are artificially difficult doesnt appeal to me. Its just not my thing.

I have practically dropped or stop playing all MP games unless it is coop or vs A.I. bots as I just get no joy or fun out of it.

Really love single player games now more then ever and coop in single player is a lot of fun when you have another hardcore gamer with you.
