ledbowman now has ledbowman and AlphaCuck in Purg despite only ledbowman being knowingly Suspended yesterday.

Of course it's possible AlphaCuck was Suspended and then Purg'd very quickly, but I'm pretty sure I've seen someone mention this already a few days ago.

That being said, Suspensions not applying to every account on a usermap is kinda goofy.

I mean, it's not exactly new that if there's a good reason the mods can act on your other accounts too (though it generally needs to be a very good reason, otherwise - unless you get axed - the other accounts are safe until they also commit a violation, though even the smallest one will get hit harshly), but that's not what "unified" in that announcement is about.

It's "unified" in that it brings various parts of the site into a single system, not merges all your accounts into a single one.

Nah, it means that all the different parts of the site will have the same underlying behind-the-scenes code responsible for handling moderations on them. In practice this will likely translate to at least some of the front-end (that we interact with) being shared too.

It's nothing to do with seperate accounts whatsoever. It's to do with different parts of the site.

Usermap axes are, as an admin-level action (though they're an option, not an "always happens"), but if (and I'll stress this doesn't actually seem to be the case) moderator-level moderations were automatically / manually-but-as-standard-practice being applied across the usermap that would be new.
