I used to watch anime and thought maybe the Dragon Ball Super Collection, however at the store the clerk told me I had old taste. So I figure alot of people here may watch anime and can help me out. It's one of those shows with a huge cast where a ton of side characters are really major badasses and get arcs of their own to coincide with the main character. The animation for some of the fights is absolutely unreal, the soundtrack fucking rules, and most of the characters are extremely likeable. It's top tier stuff for sure. And even though it's a long-running anime, it's broken up into seasons so there's very little filler and the budget stays consistent. --- I write Naruto Fanfiction. Each season follows a different protagonist with a different villain, but most of the protagonists show up in other seasons as side characters to the new ones--and they're all related. It's not really a mystery show, but there is an element of solving different 'mysteries' of enemy abilities, motives, etc. I wouldn't call it a detective show by any stretch, though.
