So far the Food and Drug Administration has approved the Pfizer coronavirus booster shot for use in certain populations six months after receiving their initial vaccine. Anyone 65 years and older is eligible as well as anyone over 18 whose frequent institutional or occupational exposure puts them at high risk of serious complications. The coronavirus booster has proved popular among Washingtons gerontocratic class with President Biden, 78, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, 79, both taking the extra jab in recent days.
