Okay I wasn't totally sure about Yuna but I knew Locke and Seph got top 3 somewhat recently. I thought Freya's last top 10 was before I started in XII, but Beatrix might be longer, I remember very little from just looking at lists of those older contests.

The answer is indeed Beatrix! She reached top 10 once back in contest IV (6/55). Can she return after 19 years?

Aeris- XXI (7th- her only top 10!)

Aeris and Beatrix are the only ones to have just a single top 10 appearance.

I know Freya had at least one decent run in the teens but I was thinking, well, a teens finish. Maybe even 20s.

Also don't forget andy, it's not one contest per year, they ran a few times a year earlier on. Contest IV was after X-2 was released so... probably late 2003/early 2004? Still over 17 years, geez.

Freya got 13th in XVIII and 16th in XIII so you were close. I was also wrong because I thought she only made top 20 once in that time.

Oh I did not know/forgot that! Thanks Martin. FWIW Beatrix fans, she's had 4 appearances in the teens since then. Will this be just another teen finish for her? Or can she push to that elusive 10th spot!

Also forgot to mention: Yuna gets the crown for top returning character over Ignis.

I just want to say, today was like a dream at the start, and if we could all work together like this every time, VII would utterly dominate. Aeris first safe, VII having the first 3 characters to 8 votes. It will of course die a horrible death tomorrow, but for one glorious day Ive seen what my 5 year long prayer would actually look like if all the VII savers listened to me. Utter destruction.

Obviously we all welcome anyone to VII Heroine and Villain camp. (Also Jessie and YRP are cool). But if you do go with Agrias, and Aeris somehow outlasts her, we would of course welcome you greatly at that time.

Man, VI had low expectations for Seifer and even those were great compared to what he actually did.

btw MWC, I'm heading into an uncharacteristically meeting-heavy week. Like... more meetings this week then I've ever had in a single week in my career. There's a chance I'll be late as a result and miss my 3rd save if there's unlucky round timings. But we'll see what happens, hopefully the dream continues!
