as someone who's a heavy smoker, i'm talking 2-3 per hour or two, sometimes more. it's sort of fallen into routine for me for many years. i don't want to quit, and afraid to do so, but i just might have to by the end of the year.

looking at the possible inevitable seems pretty impossible, i roll my cigarettes so more quantity and cheaper is how i'm able to smoke as much as i do, but it's still $50-$75 a month and by the end of the year i'm likely not going to be able to anymore, and it's not like i actually want to quit which probably makes it harder to.

Recommend some anime, preferably completed series or in the least, series that feel like they ended well.

Vaping helped me, cost less than rolling smokes too. With vaping I was able to control how much nicotine I vaped and gradually decrease it until I wasn't vaping any at all. At that point I just stopped vaping.

I was a heavy smoker and quit cold turkey two and a half years ago. Haven't had so much as a drag since. I just stopped one day, then pretended cigarettes/nicotine didn't exist. Whatever withdrawal symptoms or sickness I experienced I just treated in different ways other than relieving them with smoking more. Headaches? Ibuprofen and good hydration. Anxiety? Took it easy, took days off work here and there, took a lot of naps. Didn't push myself to do much I didn't want to. Stress? I treated myself to different things to help overcome it until the withdrawals cooled off after a couple weeks. Going out for good food, playing games all day, just spoiled myself to help ward off stress. Anything other than more smoking.

After a couple weeks I forgot what smoking was like and haven't craved it since. Cold turkey was the only thing that worked. Weening myself off by reducing intake, vaping, patches, none of it ever stuck. Quitting altogether at once helped motivate me to stay the course. Every day I stayed sober felt better and better. Both physically with how my body was feeling coming off it and mentally with how proud I was that I was finally kicking the habit..

This. Bought 4 things of juice ranging from 1.2% nicotine to 0% and gradually stepped down over the course of about two months.

Don't use Chantix

It works but the side effects aren't worth it

Grow your own tobacco... you'll either get frustrated and quit... or have a clean healthy product

I used niccorette, I slowly cut down on actual cigarettes over a few weeks and chewed the gum, eventually i was down to about 3 cigs a day with a few nicorettes here and there, then i just stopped smoking altogether and just chewed a piece of nicorette 2-3 times a day for a few days then just stopped chewing the gum. Unfortunately i started again cause i was bored and there was a pack of smokes just sitting front of me lulz.

i cut down from a pack a day to like 1-3 a day and it made it easier to quit. It also helped that cigarettes started making me feel extremely nauseous towards the end, I wasnt even enjoying it

not a smoker, but my personal advice for overcoming a habit:

try to extract a feeling of satisfaction out of avoiding it. your automatic reaction would be to get satisfaction out of giving in to the habit, and frustration at not, so focus on re-wiring that process to get satisfaction from _avoiding_ the habit instead. (it's not easy, and not *super* effective, but it does work for me to some degree).

I used niccorette

The problem I had with those it that they cost a lot and they are not as effective for me. Vaping cost less and around the same price as rolling tobacco depending what you vape.
