Hated the gameplay, but the story was a lot of fun. Loved the main cast, especially Majima.

Only downside is it gets a little too ridiculous at times, and hopping back and forth between characters gets tedious.

Gameplay dragged down the experience for me and prevented me from ever getting fully immersed, and Kiryu's storyline was much worse than Majima's.

It ain't perfect (kinda slow to start, final boss is a bit weak, few other things) but the amount of genuine tears and gasps of shock it got out of me were a surprise being new to the Yakuza franchise when I played it.
