One of the mandatory Apprentice fights in 7th Saga. I know there's at least one. I don't remember if there's more than 1.

the scaling in the apprentice fights is terrible, but the sky rune apprentice can actually join you instead of fighting so it's actually optional (just save before talking to them. If they attack you, just fight like 10 or 20 random battles and go talk to them again and keep repeating until they join you. Though it won't work if you already pissed them off by fighting them earlier, they will always remain hostile after that).

the earlier apprentice fight is too early in the game to really get affected by the scaling so it isn't really too difficult.
