I don't know about whatever the incident was that you're referring to exactly when you mention a specific dogpile, but it seems to me like the only one you're straight up saying called you a big was gunpla, so if that's what I'm thinking of, yeah, gunpla was already in aggression mode at that point and in that topic, she went too far. I always conceded that. It doesn't sound like you are accusing Calypso of being inflammatory like that too, so why the issue with her? I don't remember her being that way in that topic, or cyric for that matter, just defending gunpla on the initial comments she made and how the situation devolved, as I was doing. As for shock, who you also mentioned... he's a bit of a mixed bag and I am at odds with him a fair amount of the time myself.

I just understand her hesitation to give people the benefit of the doubt and she's not wrong for it. I know of instances when she has had people who she doesn't like and who haven't liked her and then things turned around and they get along fine, so it's not valid to argue that she is incapable or unwilling to do that. If you care enough to try and be her friend, there are ways of going about it that can work. That's all I'm saying. I have no investment. I just want it to be clear that it is entirely possible and is so for anyone, with anyone. Most people don't want that though. They just want to see this shit continue indefinitely. It's why old bullshit gets dug back up constantly. It's why people try to drag drama-causers back into discords they left (and in my case, oh yes I was indeed all about causing drama. That was the point at first and I let it get way too out of control). The point is that the conflict is exactly what certain people want and thrive on. I was the same way for years and got progressively worse about it, though for me it wasn't about perpetuating conflict with others but fighting with people myself. I got sick of it.

that user is not innocent in this and has himself had several warnings during that initial event and more recently in regard to it. It is good that they have a mutual block and can't contact each other anymore. I also have a mutual block with that user. I don't see anything insincere or problematic with cyric's apology. I don't agree that his use of the term "goaded" was in any way inaccurate and this actually is even more evidence against Dez and the rest of the peanut gallery there. It does not excuse or justify the statement at all, but it would be senseless to think he didn't give that user exactly what he wanted. Shame on cyric for saying that, but he clearly already knows that and has acknowledged it. The goading comment is not victim blaming though. The user in question tried to goad me a week or so ago in a conversation about that topic as well and he ended having a meltdown and getting warned and then blocking me (and when gunpla was suspended, that user was also warned for legit transphobic comments and none of the people attacking gunpla acknowledged it. Something to the effect of "I don't care. I will call gunpla 'he' because 'he' doesn't deserve my respect after that" was said). He did provide more backstory that I had been missing, which I must admit has me questioning gunpla's initial intentions more now that I know about it. Still, considering the transphobic comments, how is anyone going to condemn one bad statement and dismiss the other? Cyric said something out of line because he got emotional. The other user had said something out of line because he got emotional. Cyric apologized. Back when the other user said what he said, he did not. Cyric post-apology is still getting more backlash.

When I was 7, we had a pizza party in class. By the time I got to serve myself, we were out of pepperoni, and...This is really hard for me to relive, but I had to get cheese pizza instead. I think my life truly ended that day. I've never forgiven them for doing that to me.

My point is, I understand the trauma that you've gone through. I know what it can do to a person. I know what it's like to not be able to forget.

Yes. Cyric spent the better part of that topic doing what Calypso was doing. Subtly implying it, as to not get modded. She didn't do it as much, but it was sure as hell enough to get on my shit list.

It was not hard to corral them into the dogpile when they were all posting agreeing with each other. Then, next topic, about the same thing, consisted of gunpla just making a 3 paragraph piece on why I'm scum, relating nothing to the topic, just insulting me. Calypso was applauding her. As were shock and Cyric(albeit, like usual, Cyric knows how to say something subtly without really saying it).

And I tried to be friendly with Calypso. I tried to be nice. It don't work. Because I argue with her friends, and she has to attack because of it. Just how it goes.
