Lol @ expecting it to be groundbreaking or some high brow cinema. The shape had some bad ass kills. I think it was good for this exact reason. Finally the characters didnt just laugh and joke with a mass murderer on the loose. They actually went after him and took action. Only part that was dumb to me was ~~hospital scene where that chased a random guy to his death.~~ I didnt like that part. This one was good. They didnt make everyone completely helpless which I really liked. The characters were interesting. Ive got no complaints. Also, why do we have to spoiler tag? The major damage he took in H2018 (his hand) was used this time around to make him appear more like a ghost or a monster, with an inhuman handprint, and doesnt hinder him whatsoever. Oh they shot him, but oh the didnt shoot him, but oh he could have survived because they were fresh, but oh he couldnt have survived, I mean.... This isnt criticism, man. This is how you enjoy the movie :) Was it good was it bad? Do I like these characters do I not? Do I need to watch the movie a 2nd time? Hows my memory? Ive been a Halloween fan for over 20 years and the last two films are the sequels Ive always wanted. Was he bullied? The lynch mob mentality being on the forefront, but also highlighting the fact that Michael Myers is more than the sum of his parts, sure, but in more ways than one. But I went with 2 friends and Im ok if its opening night with lots of people in the theater (being around others makes me less anxious, I appreciate the nervous laughter from the audience) The jump scared werent bad, and were pretty well-telegraphed (I shield my eyes sometimes too when theyre exploring in the dark and you just know hes gonna pop out of somewhere lol) As another user mentioned, this is more like an action-horror movie than just horror.
