The Halloween franchise is rather convoluted, with various alternate timelines. Which do you prefer?

I do not receive notifications, so using the @ feature will not do anything. I might see your post and respond though if I have already been in the topic.

I don't believe Michael has ever drowned anyone. One could argue the nurse from H2, but she probably died more from third degree burns due to scalding water. Or perhaps a combination.

He drowned Danny Trejo in RZ's Halloween.

I literally have no recollection of that. Not surprised. I think I mentally blocked all memories of RZ's stuff.

I voted h1-h6, because I loved them as a kid (except for 6).

but I love the franchise as a whole and can get enjoyment out of the other timelines , not a fan of the zombie ones though

The H20 timeline isn't bad. Resurrection is completely non-canon to any of the films, so it doesn't count.

Also, on that note, why the fuck did they call it H-Two-Oh when it should obviously be H-Twenty?

Cuz being 27 years old. I remember how big of a thing "H2O" was back in 1998/1999 era.

Voted for the [Ends] timeline

RZH1 & RZH2 are not part of the same continuity. Rob Zombies movie is a stand-alone Halloween feature.

2 was never supposed to get made, and the director turned it into a pet project to show sides of Michael the studio would normally never allow. Not the same story. In my mind, Lorie killed him at the end of the first one when she shot him in the face, sort of closing the loop on Michaels story like John Carpenter originally intended.

The original Halloween 1-3 are pretty awesome. 2 is a little rushed. The original is such a fine movie.

4-6 is not great. H20 & Resurrection are practically made for TV, riding-the-Scream-wave movies. I think Hollywood was trying to use the series to 1.) put moviegoers minds at ease who were expecting them to fix Halloween, & 2.) to help sell other movies by showing how that particular style can work with Halloween (Resurrection is a little better than H20 in that regard. Its like the original AvP2 lol)

H2018 & Kills are where its at. I recommend watching the whole series to get a feel. 4-6 has some genius ideas and moments, but a lot of the stuff with Michael may not be what youre expecting.... And no matter how hard H2O & Resurrection tried with Michael, they were hampered by

Technically, this is correct. Those were the 2 originals. End of line.

I think Halloween 2 was also just an excuse to do a movie about a killer on the loose in a hostpial. XD ~ It has some amazing sequences for that too. I think it deserves a little credit for helping set a president for the villains to enter weird new locations. Space. Shopping malls. That became extremely popular. It still is. The matchup idea is cool too. Hey omg

That gives me an idea

Remove Ressurection and H1, 2, and H20 are the only good ones. That movie ruined Halloween for years.

H20 is not good. People that misremember the original champion that movie, I think. Didnt the folks involved swear off of it beyond the sake of nostalgia & a few shots even?

I dub it Mammaween. Its soo tame.

Idk, I liked it though.

Gave Laurie the ending she deserved, gave Michael a hell of an ending too. Had some really good scenes(Laurie and Michael face to face through the door). Pretty brutal. LL Cool J is always an amusing actor. Cast wasn't too bad.

It's also painfully late 90s with heavy early 2000s vibes.

It has a charm about it that I always enjoyed. Even if it was a bit schlock. But that happens with all horror movies eventually.
