Beats are overpriced pieces of garbage once Apple bought them out from Dre.

Sony's issue is that their batteries suck and can't hold much of a charge.

Bose doesn't have any of those issues.

Out of those 2? Bose. But if you want quality studio headphones, you want AudioTechnica, Sennheiser, or BeyerDynamics.

They are both pretty bad if you want actual good sound quality. Theyre ok if you want consumer friendly products with lots of features, but definitely look into other more reputable headphone companies like Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Hifiman, Focal etc if you want great sounding headphones.

Depends on the model. A good cheap entry one that still sounds great, the HD 599, is about $99-199 depending if its on sale or not. It was my first audiophile headphone and I really like it. The others can vary from $199 to almost a thousand for the really high end.

They also have a couple wireless Bluetooth models that are $199-299 or so, but wired will always have much better sound quality than wireless in almost every case.

Bose have fucking terrible sound quality.

Sony is the only one of the three that makes actual audiophile headphones (hint: they arent the noise cancelling models).

But for shame anyone who voted Bose. Go read a book.

Meze 99 for a lower end price pair ($199-$299), I have one and the bass is so warm and boomy, very satisfying to listen to, especially for hip-hop and EDM (my fave genres). Best bass heavy headphone you can get in that price range.

Other more expensive higher end bassy options are E-MU Teaks ($500) or some of the other Denon's.
