Im new to trying to get a PS5. Earlier today I was trying to get one through the Sony Direct. I got into the queue and it said over an hour to wait. I waited a bit and watched the bar fill up a bit. After 20 minutes or so it got down to like 5 minutes to wait. Those 5 minutes went by and finally the screen said it was loading the page to buy PS5s. Then suddenly I got what I believe is an error message:

Used Queue number
You have been redirected before using this queue number

I thought that was weird. But there was a link to get a new place in line. Frustrated I clicked it. Now it was telling me I had around 12 minutes to wait. Not too bad, so I waited and watched the bar fill up. Soon it was time for me to get redirected to the store when another error message popped up.

Rejected queue number
There has been an error, and your queue number has been rejected. We reported this issue and apologize for any inconvenience.

I found this very strange and once again clicked the link to get back into line. This time the lone was shorter. Once I got through I received the original error message. Got back into line and this time the wait was just a few seconds. Received the second error message. Did this a few more times and kept getting one of the error messages over and over. Eventually I gave up for a bit and checked again about 10 minutes later.

This time I got the Event has ended message. Thanks for being a loyal customer.

my question is what do these messages mean? Did I do something wrong or is that how it goes?

Google searches don't turn up much but give me the impression that it's just something that happens sometimes. I couldn't find any workarounds for the issue either nor any information that may have suggested you did something wrong.

Thanks. I couldnt find much from Googling either. But your response tells me that those are messages I should not expect normally.
