The original I beat the game with Paladin, so something new this time around. Playing with controller so that will fuck some builds up (Im sorry Im trash and cant wait a year for a new computer)

Sorc is always fun. The rest can be really bland or complicated.

Sorc seems to be universally loved, but I cant think of a single game where I enjoyed playing a straight "mage" archetype, and apparently some builds simply dont work on controller

Druid seems pretty cool, IMO.

I've only played a little of Paladin, so idk how playing as him feels like, though.

I really enjoyed Paladin back in the day, but its gear dependent so he has a rougher start in terms of fun/doing damage. Still doesnt die tho.

Been playing Druid a bit, got him to level 6 doing Firestorm/Molten Boulder. Its alright, need to unlock more skills and I know it gets better later game

Wind Druid

Unlike Sorc you don't have to worry so much about elemental inmmunity in Hell difficulty.

The Sorc is certainly the best for MFing, but it's not as easy to get one through Hell due to immunities and them being the squishiest class (outside of well equipped Energy Shield Sorcs).

As mentioned, the Wind Druid is pretty good and doesn't have as many immunity problems.

Sorc would normally be the only correct answer, but I could not say how much they are impacted by playing with controller.

Rolled a Sorc and got her to 5, fun but idk. I think I'll save her as an alt whenever I get bored with Druid

This is a huge bonus for playing Druid IMO, and tbh it convinced me to stick to Druid long-term. Not to mention Ive recently discovered Druid is my fav D&D class so theres some bias there.

So it sounds Sorc is good to have on hand at least for MF? Squishiness is a huge negative for me, already died once on my Sorc and I imagine itll only get worse

Yes, fuck Blizzard, but my money has been spent and Diablo II was a very very good game I wish I spent more of my life playing.
