All of a sudden people don't understand how advertising works. or they're just being willfully ignorant to it for some reason. the video itself doesn't "promote" eating twix. its just a positive message about Halloween. A Holiday that centers around candy. The Twix name being attached to something like this, getting spread around the internet, going viral, it'll help reinforce Twix as a Halloween candy. Thus, the hope is more people buy it to pass out on Halloween. Not all advertising is direct and in your face. This is just one form of it.

Also, they're a sponsor of this short film in a sense. What do tires have to do with playing basketball? nothing but a tire company has been an NBA sponsor for years...because they get their name mentioned during games.
