Abby played barely any games, besides Nancy Drew and Fortnite, for the last 2 years she worked there. And before that, the only games she played were stupid porno "visual novel" games that she tried to railroad into fucking GotY every year, despite "not spending much time" with literally every other game in the top 10 discussion.

Then there's the fact that when she actually does play the occasional game, the only commentary she made on it was that it was either "cohesive" or "lacks cohesion", as if she read a word of the day calendar.

Abby is easily the worst staff member GB has ever had, and it has nothing to do with her genitalia. They should have brought Mary Kish in if they really needed to tick that box.

Barely any games, nothing but Nancy Drew, Fortnite and porno VNs except tor, you know, all the time she spent on Animal Crossing, various Resident Evil games, Demons Souls, Miles Morales, Hades, Phasmophobia, Sea of Thieves, Rhythym Heaven, The Last of Us, Dead Space, and basically every major 2020 release except for FFVII Remake. And thats just the last 8 months. The reason I am saying all of this is to demonstrate that you are totally out of touch with reality. And thats why its clear that it is due to your bigotry (and what a coincidence that every post Ive seen from you recently has been complaining about women which as we all know is normal healthy behaviour and not a massive red flag), as you are not even telling the truth about your supposed reason. All the stuff I mentioned is on the site, its clearly and publicly available. You are just making stuff up to justify hate and that is frankly, sad. Youre so convinced that youre not at fault you just make up a load of stuff to get the heat off you. Absolutely pitiable and I feel sorry for you.

Abby was really good when she was covering games and always gave new games a fair shake. BT is absolutely wrong. She played more new games than Brad did most of the time. There were some gaps in her general gaming knowledge, though, especially with older stuff. Never having heard of Konami was a particularly egregious example. Something I'd always hear her say on the Beastcast was "What's [insert very common pop culture/gaming subject]". While there's nothing wrong with being curious, the way she would say things sometimes came off as clueless. I liked Abby, but I can understand why some people didn't.

A general lack of gaming knowledge is something I've been noticing a lot lately. The latest State of Play talkover was a good example. Like when you see the Tri-Ace logo followed by a space ship, it should be pretty obvious it's a new Star Ocean. Nobody recognized any of the games despite most of them being previously announced in prior events. I get that not everyone is Jeff Gerstmann, but I expect Giant Bomb to be a little more savvy.

I've heard of Star Ocean from back in the day. I couldn't have told you who made those games or their logo. Tri-Ace hasn't been relevant in AT LEAST a decade, so it should NOT be surprising that no one knew what to expect or what that was.

In their defense, I would not have caught that either because the only Star Ocean I have ever touched was the PS2 one, and it was one of the worst RPGs I have ever played

Did you listen to a single Beastcast between 2019-2021? I don't know whether she just got bored of pretending to like video games or what, but literally every fucking week "Hey Abby, what have you been playing?" "Ohhh not really playing much now but I bought a really cool hot dog costume in Fortnite"

Call of Duty QL on youtube is 20 mins vs 94 minutes on the website. The youtube description says they are trying shorter videos for youtube to see if the algorithm likes that better.
