Did Ciattarelli even have a big budget for his campaign? Pretty sure the RNC wrote this election off as a guaranteed loss and gave like no money toward it. Nothing like the Virginia race. Cant believe it is this close.

Pretty much, they've been told time and time again not to listen to grifters like Frank Luntz and Nate Silver. There are plenty of pollsters that were telling them otherwise.
Same with Virginia, iirc. The only reason there was any real funding is because Youngkin self-funded his campaign when he was trailing by $16 million, instead of selling out favors to interest groups like Paul Ryan does.

And just think, this was an election where the sitting President of the Senate was ousted by a guy with a shoe string budget. Imagine what could've happened with actual funding statewide.

Stephen Sweeney is hated by everyone, that is why he lost. Phil Murphy is the only Governor really whos managed to muscle things past him and the political machine. So of course Im sure Sweeney blaming progressives for him losing has extra venom behind it.

Can't be the reason for losing. If Sweeney being hated is the reason he lost, then he wouldn't have even broke his usual 30k votes in an election, only to lose to a candidate that got 7k more votes than their party's previous best.

It also doesn't make sense since Murphy also almost lost his own election to a campaign that was left out to dry by the Republican Governors Association.

republicans must be kicking themselves cause if they supported Jack even a little bit more hes probably Governor. And its confusing why they didnt push harder because the history of NJ shows there hasnt been a Democrat that was re-elected since like 1977.

They didn't even have to look that far back, Chris Christie proved it wasn't just possible in 2009, he proved it was possible to beat them by 22 points in 2013.

But I browsed his account myself last night and all the greatest hits were there. Denies the insurrection was an insurrection, "China Virus", life begins at conception, people entering the country illegally (he used a different term) bring disease, etc. Nearly every tweet was him quoting a Phil Murphy tweet and yelling at him, it was psychotic.

The account actually went from fine to suspended to no longer exists in the span of like a minute. I saw the first tweet a couple minutes before I made that post, and by the time I clicked on the second and third ones he was suspended and then the account was gone respectively.
