The Trilogy gameplay mechanics are taken from the mobile versions at least that's the case with San Andreas. So no, it doesn't play better than the original game. The cars in 3 always blew up quickly. It becomes nearly impossible to do a few missions towards the end because of all the gangs shooting at you lol.

Other than that my issues have been minor except one crash to the dashboard and that's once out of many hours of playing. I can definitely believe some of the things I've read and certainly the ones seen on the internet, but overall the complaints seem way over the top like the game is complete awful garbage.
