2 days at amazon. Asshole manager literally calling me names and threatning to fire me on my 2nd day for working too slow...Yeah I don't see myself being around this guy for the long haul so I walked out

15 years. Still at my first job.

About 2 hours
The 'store manager' decided the best way to get a heavy, heavy fucking box from a top shelf was to ask me to stand on an office chair with wheels and just 'grab it'
I refused so he decided to do it and the box fell and smashed through two wooden crates and I got told 'oh well it happens it's too heavy sometimes' so I quit

3 days at this small burger joint. They then only gave me 10 hrs a week, and I got another offer from A&W that was full time so I quit. This was a summer job but still.

Showed up for my first shift at a gas station. The manager said my hours were going to be from 11pm-7am. This was not discussed during the interview because I was a dumb college student and didn't ask. She was surprisingly cool about me quitting 5 minutes into the training because she felt bad she didn't tell me the hours either.

12 days at a local BBQ place. Was my first job. Hated it. I quit and immediately the manager tells me "you can't quit because you're fired"....

Worked at a small law office that also dealt with property management. Spent my first day answering phones and organizing bills. I quickly put together that the people calling were people that we weren't paying. There were a lot. Like probably over $200k. I did not trust them to pay me, so called my boss the following morning and quit.

1 day. Job was going door to door gathering signatures and donations for a ballot proposition. The job specifically sent people out at dinner time.

1 day. The job was a Telemarketer.

1 month at Party City. That job sucked

I left to join the company that I've now been at for 15 years

About a month as a bank teller. They had me sit up front all day, studying their guide book. 4 hours of reading, hour lunch, 4 hours of reading. I had a hard time staying awake just studying so long with just that one break in between, so I quit. When I gave my 2 weeks notice my boss said I could just leave right then and there lol

2 weeks.

i got hired, and told i had to go to training. then nothing.

the week before training, i hear that the HR guy doing my paperwork is on vacation and he'll be back next week.

that next thursday i hear that i can go to training now since ive been processed. so i go to my one day of training, which is just team building and learned literally nothing about the program.

so since i had no idea what i was supposed to be doing, i made a ton of mistakes. my boss gets upset and says that we need to meet so she can tell me what to do.

she misses that meeting and doesn't bring it up again for 3 days. then says "hey we were supposed to meet"

then because someone quit (i saw them talking and her basically telling him to deal with it) she threw his workload on me. i still have no idea what or how im supposed to be doing things.

so i just stopped going. i had lined up another job and just stopped showing up. fuck em.

Couple hours at Walmart. They showed me anti union stuff and then the boss showed me around and berated the employees. It didnt seem like a place that I wanted to work

5 and a half hours.

I have found it very tough to find work here over the years. Even more difficult to get an interview.

In 2008 I put in (yet another) resume to our local Rona in an attempt to be a cashier. I got an interview but was told all the cashier spots were filled, but they could offer me a spot in the lumber yard. All I had to do was buy some steel-toed boots and I'm all set. So I did that and got there around 8:30am for my first shift. This was in June btw. Everything started out okay, but then it turned into the rainiest day of the year. It was absolutely pouring and I came to work in a t-shirt. The raincoats available to staff were all too small for me. As the day went on I was carrying heavier and heavier things and getting drenched. Finally I just limped into my boss' office wet from head to toe and could barely walk I was in so much pain (and I was supposed to come back the next day). I quit

About 8 days. I was one of those telemarketers that would call people and collect donations on behalf of police. It sucked. I got a better job.

A day and a half at a bread factory. It was a 12 hour overnight shift, I told myself I'd be able to do it but it was way more than I bargained for.

I have never had a "skilled" job, lol, so idk how I'd do at one of those.

I have a buddy who worked a day and a half at a meat (pork?) packing plant. He said he just couldn't go back to work after having lunch the second day.

i worked as a mtg underwriter 4 horton. they gave me crap training. after 1 month they fired me becuz they told me i wuz unprofessional N that i was there highest paid underwriter with da least amount of EXP.

i didnt care becuz i just did bare minimum then played botw in my car. four months later before covid i got a higher paying job that was full time wfh so jokes on those losers

Less than a month, I accepted a job after having an interview at a couple different companies and didn't get the offer from the second until I accepted and started the other.

The second job offered $15,000 more per year so I couldn't pass it up

1 day at a pizza crust plant. The job was taking balls of dough as they came down the conveyor belt and manually spacing them out a little so the next machine would flatten them into individuals crusts. It was at that point I realized I am not cut out for repetitive labor lol. Luckily it was just a summer job while I was in high school.

Tried a lateral move to IT Help Desk from Quality Control at a pharmaceutical repackaging company I worked at. Lasted 1 week then went back to my QC job.

I washed dishes at some food shop for 3 months when I was 16 so I could buy a DS and quit once I bought it

Which job? All of them really, it's why my employment history is godawful and I don't get hired anymore.

3 months because of language barrier issues. i worked at some japanese fastfood restaurant when i lived in Okinawa. FUCK that. I was still a teenager and thought it'd be cool. was really stressful for me

They were laying on super thick all kinds of micromanagement shit designed to squeeze out as much labor as possible out of their wage slaves. Talking about how good employees show up and start working 15 minutes before they start getting paid. How good employees use the restroom before work, and how if you ever wanna move up and get raises you won't waste company time by going to the bathroom, lol. About how good employees don't use their vacation time (Oh, do you get paid for it if it goes unused? lol no, and good employees wouldn't ask that question btw).

All that kinda shit corporations get away with because it's minimum wage, and if you don't wanna be treated like shit at a minimum wage job, pull yourself up by your bootstraps and go to college or whatever. I just left after like 4 hours of a constant barrage of that (probably illegal) shit.

I had two tasks for a temp agency that were one day replacement gigs. I was also hired by Sears, but let go after a week because they "accidentally hired too many people." (i.e. They got rid of me after bringing me in to unload refrigerators and stock the shelves.)

2 weeks as a baker at Panera. At the end of the training they told me Id actually be working at a completely different location much farther away so I quit.
