Ultimately their mental state and safety measures are more important than the actual number, but I would assume increased number of partners likely does correlate to poor mental health in regards to sex and poor sexual practices on average for both men and women.

That doesn't even make sense. A woman of that age is less fit to reproduce than a 20-something (autism risks and such), why would evolution make them be horniest outside of their prime reproductive fitness?

The actual difference is that they don't have the leverage anymore to withhold sex because their looks have faded and they don't have the same dating market value anymore (doubly so if they have kids).

It's the same reason men are "hornier". Women have the biological right to sex; men don't. Hence the desperation. It's the same for older women. You see it with other undesirable groups as well, like fat/ugly women. Much more willing to do things they don't actually like to please a man.

Ironically, you actually see the evidence of this in this very thread. Low partner count is typically considered desirable in women and yet, most of us forum-dwellers on this dying video games walkthrough website aren't very picky about that. I wonder why that is?
