That can mean not caring about people noticing them, not caring about being hurt, not caring about things in an ethical sense, etc

What do you think?

There's oddly a slasher hero who does that.

Michael by nature feels nothing about really anything. Just a blank slate with an object of obsession.

Freddy is probably the most unmoving and sadistic. But he has shown pain and fear several times.

Michael Myers

Jason at least has a soft spot for his deceased mother and uses that as his motive to slaughter irresponsible teens.

Michael is just completely emotionless and stone-hearted

No. That was a drug dealer using the name Candyman.

Loomis was wrong about Michael Myers & probably definitely contributed a great deal to driving him totally insane. I think people forget what a charlatan & maverick Dr Sam Loomis is. Michael Myers is angry. He experiences fear. He shows that he covets. But he lacks the persona of a serial killer or a sociopath. I'd say Billy Loomis fits the bill as the most uncaring, sadistic piece of work in all of slasher history, by design.

Michael Myers exhibits inhuman patience, though. 15 years? No problem. Another 40 after that? Meh.

That's nuts.

They don't really depict his experiences in the mental ward tho.

In Rob Zombie's version, looked kinda like he spent a lot of time with Danny Trejo, and hit the weights hard while silently getting ready to escape and kill a LOT of people. I wouldn't call that patience. I would call that a gross misunderstanding by all parties. The Perfect Storm. RZ's psychological profile of Michael Myers (whatever his middle name is) comes off as very authentic. Tho, all of Loomis's observations are laced with projection and sensationalism and common psychology myths of the day. The film, rightfully, doesn't pretend to entirely understand Michael. That's why 2 was so shocking lol. His mom's ghost. Geez.

In any version, kid Michael isnt capable of what he ends up doing as an adult and Dr Loomis was right.... Where the hell did he learn to drive a car? It ain't exactly easy, especially if you weren't a passenger. Did his dad teach him at some point?

My money would be on them having him on unnecessary meds that caused real damage to his brain. Not to mention fostering an unnatural emotional development. I always saw the kid Michael Myers as being confused and stupid, not the "evil" Loomis projects onto him. This is partially what makes Michael Myers an interesting karmic force. Everyone in the town sort of projects this image onto a guy who (imo) is clearly just dressing up as an evil Captain Kirk with an eerily early 80's vibe to it. It's a game to him. He's used to thriving in bare minimum conditions and probably eats paper and stuff lol

Would make a great prequel.
