AC/DCs singer.

But I dont mean that as a compliment. His voice is irritating and ruins the music for me.

"unique" is already a superlative. there aren't varying levels of uniqueness. in all likelihood, everyone that would seriously be mentioned in a topic like this has a unique voice

Off the top of my head, the only well-known singers I've ever been able to identify songs by from the voice alone are Rihanna and Eminem.

Though there's a few more that the voice and overall style/lyrics combined tend to be very identifiable - P!nk, George Ezra, Train, Taylor Swift, and going back a bit further, Village People, are all examples that come to mind of this, though I'm sure there's a lot more too. Beyond VP tending to have extremely literal and cringey lyrics, I can't think of any specific way to explain what's so identifiable about any of these, but it's more a "you know it when you hear it" (or at least, I do) situation.

Yeah, I wasn't specifically commenting on whether I like any of those, just that I find them recognizable. (For the record - I like Eminem and Taylor Swift, don't mind P!nk, Train or Rihanna, dislike Village People, and outright can't stand George Ezra.)

Today You Learned:

AC/DC had two singers. And you probably thought they were the same person, based on songs.

Glenn Danzig has a pretty recognizable voice. It's kind of a trip every time I hear an old misfits song and I'm trying to find it in Danzig's catalogue for hours only to be like "oh shit that's actually misfits"

Too many to count. The second I considered, it was like an avalanche of people.

Fiona Apple and Bjork are a couple of my favorite modern female voices. Dolly Parton and Janice Jopline too.

Scott had a "quack" like sound.

Johnson has a "screech".

Despite not sounding like it when normal speaking.
