So after a quick check I've discovered that 7-1 gets me virtually nowhere. I barely cling onto 12th at 7-1 right now and I'm already tied for 12th.

Ok so your 8-0 with how far back you are does almost nothing.

Also if SF wins Terp goes 14-0, and I can go 12-2 and drop out of 12th outright.

It basically took that entire 7-0 just to make up for the Steelers.

The Bills have allowed 3 rushing first downs to Brady in the first quarter.

This spread really was a joke.

Brady has already rushed for three first downs

Half the league is on the Ravens and over half on the Panthers, but a significant amount of relevant people are on the Falcons and Browns.

The numbers are simply misleading. A lot of it is just the bottom people falling even further off.

12-2 is a bad week and a lotta people who don't matter already have 4-5 losses.

3 weeks ago when I picked games to see what it would end up as, I picked the Browns and Ravens to win in each others' stadiums.

When it came to actually picking the games, I picked both home teams.

I did something right!?

Fun fact: I actually kind of thought the Vikings would win, but they always lose when I think that and I get Steelers and Vikings games wrong so often I went against it.

Oops.

Actually come to think of it, I picked SF and the Steelers to win 3 weeks ago, too.

My 13 points on the Bucs somehow only being favored by 3.5 feel pretty good right now.

Welcome to the tie at 1 loss, where everyone who actually picked an underdog is residing!

And the Bengals just muffed a punt and are about to give up points before halftime.

I did the numbers in a little detail.

If SF wins, I remain exactly tied for 12th with Nick and ShatteredElysium and no other result can effect this. Terp goes +2 and Cody goes -1. I also drop from 7th to 8th in the other league, and again no other result can effect this. If I go 13-1 in the other league, I remain tied for 7th as I started this week.

However, the people in 17th will be -1 and -2 on us.

Bengals commit a personal foul after the play on what would have been 4th and 7, and give up a TD off the muffed punt instead of a FG.

This team just does this to themselves. This was as gift-wrapped a touchdown as possible.

The Bengals have more yards, more first downs, more time of possession, and trail 17-6 at halftime because they are the Bengals.

The secret the talking heads still try to keep is that every team in the AFC North is bad and will be one and done in the playoffs.

The good news is the 49ers winning isn't a significant amount of damage. It's just that two people tied for 12th have them.

And also the Bills will still be fine.

So long as they don't drop a game to a legitimately bad team, they still make it to 10 wins and still make the playoffs.

yeah their schedule is manageable down the stretch even counting the one remaining game against the Pats

Also I was wrong. Reg is -1 because I wasn't properly counting him as on the Steelers, so Reg will join our tie and it'll be a fourth way tie for 11th with Terp jumping away. It's a four way tie for 10th (with Terp, and Nick dropping -2) if Cincinnati gets their head out of their ass.

The Sunday and Monday night games are both completely meaningless. Arizona's somehow only favored by 2.5, but the highest ranked person on the Rams is currently in 27th.

"Shockingly", no one is on the Bears.

Much like SNF last week, I have my doubts I'll watch a single down.

Washington:

Wins tie break over Atlanta and Minnesota based on best win percentage in conference games. Division tie break was initially used to eliminate Philadelphia (Washington wins tie break over Philadelphia based on best win percentage in division games). Division tie break was initially used to eliminate New Orleans (Atlanta wins tie break over New Orleans based on head-to-head win percentage).

Minnesota:

The NFC is one hell of a mess right now. If there's one game that may trip up the Bills, it's the Falcons. The Falcons are a team that's very easy to dismiss that could still be playing for a playoff spot.

Also the Bengals led the half off with a 3 and out. I have a feeling this game could get very ugly following that gift TD.

They're going to go over before the 3rd quarter ends.

Denver may not have this game put away yet.

I have... Significantly more faith in the Lions down 31-10 than I do in the Giants down 30-7. That is sad.

That was um.. One hell of a "fake" by the Bills

Bucs starting to get healthy and suddenly our defense looks really good like it did during last year's playoff run.

This pleases me

Bucs working on their random 4th down playcalling needs some work though

And SF follows the Bengals 3 and out with a quick TD that's... Overturned, and they settle for a FG.

Bengals narrowly avoid already completely imploding.

Bills looked like world beaters a couple months back and now they have a semi decent chance of not making the playoffs

The Bills were a product of their early schedule more than anything.

Lions turn it over at the 4.

The Lions, Bills, and Bengals are all showing fight right now.

The Giants? Nooooooope.

And the Bengals take a red zone sack and miss a field goal. 3 red zone trips for... 6 points.

This team seems pretty determined to let the Ravens stay atop the division for one more week!

Detroit's two turnovers in FG range may just get you there!

...Except Denver went down the field too fast and can't kill the entire clock without scoring or giving up the drive.

They were set up for it too, until they got like 35 yards in two plays.

And the Bengals follow up a quick two-sack stop by getting into the red zone in a minute, and FINALLY getting a TD by going for it on 4th down this time.

The Bengals lead the game in yards, possession, and first downs, and SF is practically trying to give it away like they did against Seattle. The Bengals just have to actually take it.

Another SF 2nd half meltdown let's go go go.

Bucs smartly taking the FG to make it 17 points here. There's just no good reason to go for it in this situation.

Giants might be about to get a ridiculous backdoor cover.

Touchdown, 3 and out, Touchdown, onside kick recovery.

Also the Bengals had a chance to tie the game and went backwards. Oops.

The Bengals tie the game with a deep bomb, but leave tons of time on the clock.

And with 1:19 and 2 timeouts, the 49ers convert two third and 10s with 20 yard passes to get into FG range in a game they lost in every metric except... Turnovers.

AND THEY MISSED THE KICK.

My lord these teams are both trying to lose.

Yeah crazy no call on that penalty.

If SF is in position to kick for the tie on 4th and long they absolutely do have to go for the tie.

6-6-1 keeps them ahead of the 5-team dogpile at 6-7.

And just like the Bengals, they're in the FG range 1 minute into the drive.
