MrMallard 12/11/21 12:54:04 AM #28:	I had a brief Sonic phase, not like the deviantart shit, but I still regard the franchise fondly and I won't say I'm not still invested in the characters. I'm happy for her as well, it's a good step forward after Chris Pratt as Mario, and the Looney Tunes casting debacle. I only say that because Charles Martinet expressed interest in portraying Mario, so it's pretty sad to see that role get filled by a celebrity VA, and the thing about Looney Tunes is that Zendaya got credited in trailers as Lola Bunny while the regular VAs of Bugs, Porky, Daffy etc. didn't get the same consideration. There's also like one Transformers movie where the official voice actor of a character in the cartoons was able to reprise their role in live-action. Even the big ones like Tara Strong barely get proper Hollywood VA work. So on that level - I'm pretty happy to hear Tails' VA reprise Tails. Sonic and Knuckles are still Hollywood folks, so it's not like the Sonic movies escape this trope entirely, but there's really no Tails voice like the one they've had since like Sonic Unleashed, so I'm super stoked to hear the voice carry over. But just on the merits of character, I'm super happy to see Tails in this trailer.
