Both fine songs! L.A. Woman > Riders of the Storm for me.

I think their pace and chillness is a little off compared to what I'm lookong for out of the Doors, but then I have songs like Who Scared You and Hyacinth House on there too sooooooo just happened like that.

Thank you! Like as much as I want to check out some past legends like Johnny Cash, holy moly there are too many albums. Doing a decade of Bob Dylan is hard enough, no way am I doing this "properly" with someone like Dolly Parton.

Similar thing happens with rap music. Ludacris has been on my list awhile, but besides the actual albums I'm interested in the singles and features too. That's a lot of time oftentimes just hunting for them, much less all the timea he's been featured before. It was a real struggle with Jay-Z awhile back.

EDIT: I'll check those videos out later though!

Green Day's on my short-list to do, but I haven't gotten around to doing this with them yet for whatever reason. Pink Floyd is a worthwhile legend too, but outside of the song Wish You Were Here I don't know that I've connected with their other songs enough for me to jump onboard with them for this Maybe in time ..!

How did you like doing that for NIN? It was my brother's favorite band for awhile and I like that "I won't let you fall apart" song and "Bites the hand that feeds" song so I know they got some variation, plus I've been replaying Quake here and there so Trent's been on the mind. Haven't committed but they seem interesting.

It's an interesting experience for sure, since NIN really runs through a respectable and varied gamut of genres from industrial to dance to dark ambient to metal. But it's a super rewarding experience, especially the pretty much flawless stretch from The Downward Spiral to Year Zero.

Looks like we liked different eras of RHCP! The music video for Californiacation led me to them first. Really that was my first album. How did you first get introduced to them? I barely go to their music before the Californiacation album (besides the undeniable Under the Bridge) and yours is like all before it or on it besides the eponymous By the Way.

And All My Loving didn't make my Beatles list but I think about it off and on!

I barely go to their music before the Californiacation album (besides the undeniable Under the Bridge) and yours is like all before it or on it besides the eponymous By the Way.

And All My Loving didn't make my Beatles list but I think about it off and on!

I got introduced to them when I was super young, just being in the car and the station my parents listened to played them a lot, I distinctly remember enjoying By the Way and Scar Tissue the most!
