Recently played through Wasteland 3 and got into the genre. Currently have access to Divinity and Pillars now sure which to pick though

D:OS for me

However, Baldur's Gate 3 is f'n awesome as well, but it's still in Early Access.

I enjoyed Divinity a lot more, especially if you have someone you can play with.

They're completely different tho

I've only played the second games of both Divinity Original Sin and Pillars of Eternity.

Divinity Original Sin 2 has better gameplay mechanics both during combat and outside of it, and it might have the best gameplay in the genre.

however, I feel like Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire had the better story, from what I played (had a game breaking bug about 40-50 something hours in the game on the PS4 ).

I'd take Divinity's gameplay over Pillar's and I'm a huge Baldur's Gate fan for example

But Pillar's fulfills obligations made to keeping something like Baldur's Gate alive - it's an incredible take

They're of a similiar genre though and I only play one game at a time generally.

if the first DOS plays similarly to DOS2, then its gameplay is closer to Wasteland 3 (great game) than PoE is.

you're able to do more in DOS than in Wasteland 3, but they both have that XCOM/strategy inspired gameplay.

PoE has more traditional CRPG gameplay.

Original Sin, Baldur's Gate 3 and Solasta: Crown of the Magister, IMO

Divinty by many many miles. Pillars is really a mess hiding behind the hardcore label to mask it's many shortcomings that should actually be unacceptable.

Even with the engaging story, Pillars becomes a slog very quickly. The gameplay is just completely outdated.

Pillars for story, Divinity for gamplay.

Started Divinity on console and I'm getting a weird but where only some of the menu tabs are displayed. They are half cut off and I cant see the rest.
