I admit I haven't read enough opinions to really speak with too much confidence, but my impression is that his views are too mainstream conservative/neocon for my liking. For example, he dissented in the Westboro Baptist Church case because protesting a soldier's funeral was beyond the pale, while the other 8 upheld the extremely strong free speech right we have.
