I don't have a super informed opinion on that subject as a whole, but I will agree that Sakamata Chloe's rigging and model are good stuff.

Saruei is my fav 2d model + rigging combo in the EN space by a lot.
Snuffy and Girl DM all have incredibly good rigging, but I like their models less.

Keffiy's pretty solid. They did Ollie, Kronii, Kiara, Coco, Shion, Watame, Iroha and just recently Veibae's new model, which is nuts. She can turn her head so far to the sides and the pupils dilate!

Worth adding, Veibae spent $50k on the art and rigging though, so for that much, you'd expect it to be crazy good.

the idea of spending any money on setting up a virtual avatar or streaming equipment, and then getting like 3 views after investing all of that effort into it, is one of the main reasons I would avoid ever even bothering to attempt it.

This one caught me by surprise. How much of this is real? Because I couldn't tell it actually was Lamy singing this.

If you've listened to a lot of Lamy you can tell it's definitely her voice. It has the same tone, she's just singing at a more normal pitch than the forced super high pitch she normally uses while talking. 1:11 is a great example of this, you can hear the full Lamy. and then for most of the chorus you can hear her bleeding between her Lamy voice and her real voice, which makes it easier to pick up on how much of the rest of the time her real voice does still resemble her Lamy voice.

(Personally hoping she pulls a Suisei and permanently changes her speaking voice to this lower one as well... Although I will say that the Lamy character voice is one of the ones that I find pretty amusing/funny)

the Lion cover with Botan and the 5th Gen group covers she didn't sound like that, which is why I wasn't sure if the cover was overproduced or not.

It sounds like they're being allowed to keep their model tho, so should be able to keep track of them.

I do a lot of my vtubering over my lunch breaks
-My usual is streaming RE and I don't watch horror
-Loaded up a new guy and the first thing I heard was a loud f-bomb, which uh won't fly at work (as I am too lazy for earbuds)
-Nothing else super interesting going on on twitch
-Pulled up a youtube stream, but it ended while I was on the ads
-Pulled up Okayu but realized that while I like her and am interested in Triangle Strategy, a Japanese stream of a text-heavy game doesn't do much for me

now I'm resorting to *gasp* my VOD backlog

I kinda find it interesting how each Holo has a different approach to how they release their covers.

No, I more or less consider streams to be free entertainment. It's great that they can make a living doing this, but most of them already make considerably more money than I do. It would feel weird 'donating' to them in that situation.

Just combined Korone Nendo with the Okayu Nendo....I also have the Gamers pop ups, no more pop ups going forward tho.

Yeah, I thought about getting Okayu's, just to complete the duo, but I've barely watched any of her content. Already got five preordered, gotta draw the line somewhere.
