In 2020, he decided to take a look at himself and decided to do something about it and changed his diet and started an exercse routine so he could get healthy. He said his health became worrisome at the end of 2019 when covid hit as he felt tired and could barely walk up the stairs without getting out of breath Batalan said he looked in the mirror without his shirt on and said "It was ridiculous. I could not believe i let myself get this fat". He would then begin his weight loss journey and went to a gym and started lifting weights and it shows as audiences can now see a much slimmer Batalan in No Way Home. He is also shooting his new Syfy series in Vancouver called FAT VAMPIRE of which he becomes the unlikely fat hero as the outcast in this comedy drama. Zeus 12/19/21 8:04:17 PM #2:	He was too fat to play Ned Leeds, so now he's at least an appropriate body type, particularly if he's going to portray the Hobgoblin (or be framed as such) Plus it's easier for thin actors to get roles than heavy ones.
