I enjoyed all of them, except the fifth one (Retribution). I understand why they're all considered 'bad', though the combination of sci-fi/horror/action is a guilty pleasure of mine. Interestingly, such movies are almost always considered bad.

I didn't like how they introduced Leon, how they implemented Chris and Clair to be involved with Dr Birkin in the beginning. The Chief looks like Enrico Marini himself and where the fuck is Barry?

Ali Larter was perfect cast for Claire. Then you look at that goblin in REmake2 ugh.

I can see why the RE reboot was bad. But I'll tell y'all this much, those involved were true RE fans. Though I didn't like the direction of the plot, it was way better than RE Milla.

- no made up characters
- no heavy metal
- no AIs/techy stuff.

Milla films are cash grab projects. Not even RE films.

Nah, her movies sucked. Couldn't even really call them Resident Evil movies when they follow none of the games and laugh at the lore/source material.

The new film is better, sure the CGI is goofy but it feels like it came from the games. Leon was cast perfectly as was Jill and no original characters that the director made up.

I dunno how people never grow out of being okay with bad stuff that survives off fan service. That's the easiest manipulation tactic in the book. The only good thing in your product/art is the stuff you take/use from other people? Lol. That makes it even worse. I see the value if you just think something is goid snd it makes it a little better. But of it's thrown into something bad, shouldn't that be insulting to the fans?

I think the Milla movies are dumb fun. I haven't seen the new one yet. I don't have high hopes, but hell, I disagree with most on the other one's. So, who knows. I bet after this they attempt to move away from the original titles plots and do RE7 & 8. It's the best way to attempt getting people to ignore the failures and feel like they can jump into the story from a semi fresh start again.

I read somewhere that the director is planning to return and adapt CV and RE4, hopefully separately.

RE5 would be fun, RE6 too as long it's focused more or exclusively on Chris's campaign. I'm not sure about RE7 and RE8 or even 9, they're too fresh and one is in development.

RE1, 2 and 3 can't be revisited, the way RE ended.

I'd love to see RE4 and CV kinda mixed into one story like the new movie blended the first 3 games.

jovovich is really bad in all of those movies, but if you want to see her true bottom of the barrel watch Ultraviolet. It's shockingly awful

She was pretty hot in House on Haunted Hill. Thats another so bad its good film.

TBF, it's hard to make any good zombie movies now. Last one that was decent was #Alive and not American version either.

I actually liked the retcon/explanation as the previous movies just kept raising the question "Who is Umbrella selling things to now that almost everyone is dead?"
