sad situation. Didnt even give it 2 seconds to see if he even had a damn gun and just lit them up.

im all for going after the bad guys but ffs youre in a store where people can be and you even give a split second to deescalate anything just starts shooting.

Our police suck.

The guy had a weapon and was assaulting people

Police had incorrect Intel that he had a gun

When the told him to freeze he ducked out of the way

What could they of done differently...(please for the love of God don't say tackle him)

They weren't aware the weapon was a bike lock

They didn't shoot immediately they gave him an option and he decided to try and flee.

"I thought he had a gun and he ran from me" is not a good defense for accidently killing an innocent person

I don't know how firing off three rounds in a department store full of holiday shoppers is your way to deescalate a situation.

Police give no fucks. They know they can kill and get away with it so they don't even bother trying to do anything other than rain bullets

The situation could have been much better also, with a cop not killing an innocent person.

And no, killing someone because you decided to open fire in a public area is not an accident.

The Intel they had was there was a guy assulting multiple people and was armed

When they got to him and he fled what would be the correct thing to do?

Clearly he did not care about the safety of the other people in that store.

'The suspect may have had a gun' is never justification for blindly shooting and not checking your targets.
