Peter loses his phone in one scene and is able to call Happy from memory.

No one his age remembers phone numbers.

Remember in the first movie though, Peter was texting and calling Happy constantly, it was the center of his life to work for Tony. It's not unreasonable to think he memorized their numbers in case superhero stuff happens and your phone breaks, or saw the number enough times from frequent use that it just stuck.

The real plot hole is how did Electro get pulled into the MCU if he didnt even know Peter Parker is Spider-Man?

The implication is that Harry Osborn told him offscreen.

Didn't he call and text Happy repeatedly at one point? He may have the number memorized because of that.

If thats the case how did he find out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man and not know what he looks like?

Its a fundamental part of the plot that went unexplained. Electro is the odd man out that doesnt line up with the explanation we were given.

Yeah but it's very easily explained with a tiny bit of plausible conjecture.

Not stating every minor detail is not a plot hole.

Any number of places, tbh. Curt Connors and Norman Osborne may have had an encrypted file or message with Peter/Spiderman in text form as security. It could have come from a government agency. Peter himself may have accidentally left a breadcrumbs trail somewhere. Someone may have been discussing a theory. The list goes on.

It's the internet, man. That's not just limited to what you see in Google or in Torrentland

But its not minor. Its the focal point of the movie that had major consequences in the end.

... Here's another theory. Doctor Strange has no clue what he's talking about. Or the spell changed in a way he doesn't understand.

We wanted to see Electro. That's why he's there. Tbh. Or it drew in a version of Electro we weren't familiar with, who learned or would have learned Webhead's real name. I mean, let's face it, that ain't exactly the Doc Ock from SM2. He looks VERY different. The Lizard is different too. Sandman is all old and shit. Infinite universes means infinite possibilities. I mean, if you actually summoned a fictional creature.... What makes you think they would be anything like what you expect? The writing isnt even consistent ;-))

That's like complaining about the fact that individual characters learned about Spiderman being Peter Parker when we didn't explicitly see them do it.

It's literally a non-issue.

I know it's a superhero film but you're expecting a ridiculous amount of hand holding here.

The film isn't great, but your criticism is bogus.

The villains all being variants makes the most sense, but were never told this.

How is it ridiculous to expect a story to follow the plot it set up?

Because you can easily infer any number of plausible reasons. It might not state any of them but it doesn't need to. A story doesn't need to spoon feed you every minute detail.

Its not about being spoon fed. Its about having a coherent story. If you have to come up with stuff to fill in the gaps then the movie failed in its story.

Electro had no idea who Spider-Man was in ASM2 and didnt know who he was in FFH when Andrew revealed himself. Electro stands out because every other villain is shown finding out Spider-Mans identity in their respective movies.
