Tim Pool is one of those guys that shithead users have tried to direct me to when I indicate that I don't know who they are, or that I'm going through some sort of personal turmoil. "oh he's a political philosopher who establishes a fair balance between left and right talking points" has been some dickhead's attempt to redpill me on both Ben Shapiro and Tim Pool, and someone suggested Jordan Peterson to me on a Reddit post when I talked about my mental health.

Absolute wankers, all of them. A friend of mine fell down the Ben Shapiro rabbit hole and he's anti-abortion now. Really fucking depressing to see him drinking the alt-right kool-aid.

Why the fuck is the dude even bringing politics into your personal turmoil? Doesn't seem like something "centrism" would be beneficial to.

Well the way they phrased it was "Jordan Peterson has a set of self-help principles that could help you get back on your feet and live a happier and more fulfilled life" or some shit like that. Real casual about it, getting me in the door with his self help shit.

Textbook redpill shit, get someone who's vulnerable and suggest an alt-right thought leader in the hopes of sending another person down the alt-right pipeline. The message was pretty earnest and positive, seemed like it was coming from a genuine place - the only reason I was able to catch the intent is because I already knew who Jordan Peterson was.

Best case scenario, it was someone who's oblivious to Jordan Peterson's relationship with the right and was genuinely offering me the same place they got help after someone else offered them the same advice. Worst case scenario, it was someone trying to redpill other users by directing them to Jordan Peterson.

In the context that they can lock you out of certain activities if they were suddenly revoked for any reason, they are no different. Many people don't like the idea of a federal ID system for this and other reasons. There are sci-fi thrillers about the dangers of too much data and surveillance in the hands of the wrong people, like that scene in the Dark Knight, or the movie Eagle Eye.

Food production is pretty cool, but before we go and distribute it to the starving people let's have a fun little thought experiment about what would happen if the food was made of people or an evil government entity was using food and starvation to control us. Wouldn't that be pretty bad? Not saying it's true, but please let's just talk it out first. It's not hurting anyone to just ask questions.

First of all, I would want to have a separate body in charge of checking that food is safe and not made of people. As for "food and starvation" being used to control us, I would want it to be legal for people to be able to grow their own food so that they aren't reliant on "government-produced food" to be able to live.

Interestingly enough, America does not have a "right to food", unlike other countries.
