Sometimes when I watch this show, it's a little silly how important outdoor mall dojos and fighting are in this world, and some of the scenes are incredibly corny, but it's definitely more than the sum of its parts. I feel like the acting and dialogue are good enough to convey what the scene needs to without much dialogue or acting at all. Also the way all the characters continuously create new threads to other characters is pretty well done too. It's like some giant story web. I also feel like there's not a lot of scenes that are wasted. It's like 'ok we need a scene about Daniel enjoying Japan', then they show one scene of him breathing in the air and smiling, and boom, it's done. Every scene develops some character in some way and side plots always have a way of eventually coming together; not to mention the side plots never felt too long.

I like it. Just finished season 4, definitely felt like a good season.
