I've never had to go through one of those things, so I don't know how much they charge. Did this man die trying to avoid a few bucks cost?

I've heard about people jumping these turnstiles for decades, and honestly I don't know why they haven't found a more effective way to make sure people pay by now

I fell harder than that last October and ended up breaking my leg but honestly I was lucky I didn't just fucking die.

I remember when I was younger, we watched a video that was of urban conflict in WWII, in school.
There was a moment when someone was surely shot dead.
I remember thinking to myself, wow I just watched someone die.
That was in context. And a very rare thing.

Now it is almost daily. It kinda makes you wonder...wonder about normalizing things.

And I say that as an adult who has dealt with death way too much.

Because petty criminal activity like that isn't isolated and if a few people get away with it it often causes a lot more to become emboldened to do the same and it ends up costing tens if not hundreds of thousands in the long run. Not liking criminals doing crime and not feeling awful when they do something bad and hurt themselves doesn't make me a sociopath. Also "EmbraceOfDeath" really complaining about something said about this? Ridiculous.
