I think that Tomi Lahren says what conservative America wants to hear, and collects a paycheck. She said she was pro-choice for abortion, and Fox News threatened to cancel her show. It seems like she's being forced into playing a character.

I don't think there's a one-size-fits-all answer to that question.

They are clearly not crazy right wing extremists like they have to present themselves in order to grow in their field. However, they almost certainly more side with the right than left. Just some views are more left leaning and other views are more right leaning. You know, like a normal person should have.

What about Tucker Carlson? He seems like he's really hamming it up with the "outraged" conservative persona and the angry expressions.

Yes and the left does this too. 80% of everything that comes out of Cenk Uygurs mouth when he's on camera is him hamming it up and acting like a left wing caricature.
