Im playing this for the first time on the highest difficulty but its way too easy. Ive loaded Rean up with Impede and speed boosting quartz, and nothing in the game can even get a turn in. Just spam arc slash, and they get delayed to the shadow realm. They will never get a single turn in. I just beat the 5th chapter boss this way

but if I dont do something like that, the bosses just annihilate me with an s-break that 1hkos my entire waifu squad. In trails to zero/azure tio could use Zero Field and stop enemy s-breaks at least

If you are getting 1 hit KOd then you are either on the highest difficulty or way under leveled.

Im on the highest difficulty

Yeah thats why youre getting 1 hit KOd as that difficulty is balanced around NG+ and the game even tells you that when you choose it.

Yeah but I heard cold steel on the highest difficulty is easier than the rest of the series on the second highest difficulty (which is what I played those on) which is why I picked it

not really struggling or anything but Id like to see everything the enemies can do without dying or cheesing it

now trails of cold steel is breaking me

im in the chapter 5 free day, about to spend my bonding points. i get 5 total this chapter

But there's at least 6 I want to see:

Alisa
Crow
Millium
Sara
Fie
Emma

so now I have to decide one to drop -_- and I think these are the important bonding events too, so the one I drop here I can't get the final bonding scene for

I don't want to drop any tho... I guess Emma or crow but ehh....

If you're playing it on PC you can edit your bonding points

Yeah.. I mean its more dialogue you see without having to replay the game over again.

It will break the purity of my near perfect save file and taint it forever. I will be nothing but a filthy hacker

is there any chance of causing a bug in cold steel 2 and beyond by having an impossible save?

Its hard to top the setup I had in Azure with a dodge tank and my magic nuke squad. Only two bosses could break through it with some sort of dash to my squishy casters

ok so I downloaded cheat engine again and found the memory address that stores bonding points (i went as far as to find the exact specific one rather than a group of like 30 possibilities). i read online that some people broke chapter 3 by giving themselves infinite bonding points, preventing them from reaching 0 and soft locking their game. but im in chapter 3 and would only be giving myself an extra 6. am i cursing my save, should I turn back now before it's too late?

alright im gonna go forward like this. gave myself 6 extra bonding points and viewed all chapter 5 events. if i break my game, i have a backup of my save from before this and ill just fast forward for a few hours to catch up

it it breaks my NG+ save carrying over into CS2 im gonna cry though and then download someone elses

Just use up all your normal points, and then return it back to 3 if you are worried about it messing up a save.

Yeah thats what I did. Use them all down to 0, gave myself 4, used all those, then gave myself 2 (to cover all the evening events)

My main concern is if there's some other mechanism I don't know about where it will break the game because I've viewed an impossible amount of events now. But I'll trust fade

No its not going to break your game for viewing too many events either. Trust me, I've done it myself throughout the series. I however used a trainer (which is basically cheat engine but easier to use)

Lmao. Whenever I decide to play through these games again Im gonna work on game-breaking it like so many other people do. I should get around to finishing CS4 sometime first

I'm aware you get a limited number of tickets or something for the upcoming festival or whatever, is it a similar case there where I can just hack myself more tickets and see everyones events?

Also, I feel like im running out of time to get millium to s-link rank 4. shes at 3 and a half now and she wont be coming with on the next field study :/
same with laura and emma. both 4 and a half

i did Azure on nightmare my first (and only) playthrough and it was a good time

I haven't tested it myself but I believe so. There's a similar event in a later game, and I did it with no issues in that one, so I can't imagine Cold Steel 1 has any issues.
