I watched the first episode on Sunday, and was instantly hooked. Without spoiling anything, for me, I think it's the combination of what time the "younger" story takes place, as 1996 was the year I graduated HS, so the time period/fashion/music is pretty sentimental to me. Combined with the "What the fuck actually happened/How did it get to that point?" aspect of the "middle" era of the story, the show sucked me right in. --- It takes zero effort to be a good person. ...
