I was never transphobic, but I was more "I don't really care" but reading what some of the trans folks here have said about themselves or what they went through has made me more empathetic

That's good. Certain folks here have helped me accept and understand my own possible trans...ness. Not sure how to phrase that.

I'm in a super conservative place that villifies trans people. I've always been accepting but not caring about it. But anyway you should hear the shit people say here

Or not. It's just a bunch of dog shit. Glad this place opened my eyes more, and I can't stand how narrow minded people around me are

Yeah, it sucks. So many bigoted assholes around here. Over in Oxford it's relatively more tolerant, but even in a big-ish city where I'm at it's still awful. Surrounding counties and such are even worse.
