Ive got a white gold geometric style wedding band, yellow gold is tacky.

Can't wear metal in the OR, and it's a lot harder to deglove a finger with a silastic wedding band over a metal one.

I'm pretty sure most people recognize that a band on a certain finger on a certain hand is a wedding ring, gold or not. This is a weird thing to be upset with.

I'd rather wear anything other than gold. Your getting overcharged for something that shouldn't cost that much. I'd rather spend 100 for both rings and spend 2k on a dream honeymoon than go broke trying to achieve both.

Plus I just don't like gold. I like colored or lack of color, so if it were up to me, I'd go with either a black wedding band or deep blue wedding band.

Why does anyone care what other people wear for wedding rings? Not everyone is into gold and diamonds. It's traditional, but not a hard unbreakable rule. Some people might prefer silver, or sapphires, or copper.

If a girl is wearing a black band that means shes married? I see one regularly who works at the store. I didnt know if it meant something different or not. I guess im old school and am used to seeing diamonds and stuff.
But it seems practical i guess if he cant afford a "real" ring.

I have a very simple traditional gold wedding band. It cost $1k.

That's not a financially viable option for everyone. A black Tungsten or whatever one off of Amazon is often better for them. Telling everyone they need to pass a sizeable financial bar before marriage is silly.

Get whatever you want. I had a platinum ring with tiny diamonds in a row across the front. I actually still have it, and should sell it.

When I get married again, I want a plain ring made out of black diamond. It's awesome.

I have to get mine in the next couple months here. I really don't like the look of the traditional gold band. I've seen those tungsten bands and some have looked good and some have looked bad. My fiance wants me to get something that isn't just a plain band which is even crazier to me. But I haven't even started looking yet.

Wife got me a white gold band with a small emerald birthstone. Love it.
