Ok, I'm farther left than most people so I agree with most things Vaush says... the problem is I have a mental thingy where I have trouble determining intent in language; Now when someone like shoe0nhead is sarcastic she inflects with sarcasm; lots of people inflect their sarcasm

Vaush never inflects... so I can't tell when he's joking, or being ironic, or sarcastic.

I do not listen to any Political Youtube person that's not Some More News, Renegade Cut or another channel whose name I can't remember. Something Joel. They're all anarchist/socialist so idk.

Yeah, this and someone else can link the clip where him saying it's ok to have a relationship with a child. Pick better heroes, people.

I have no clue who that is, so no. I would first need to have heard that name before this topic to have an opinion of him.

...technically he's discussing the downstream effects of child abuse, not the abuse itself. I'm still not sure I agree with his assessment for pragmatic reasons (because stemming the circulation might make it easier to stop the actual abuse), but it sounds like he's suggesting that ownership of the materials isn't a problem rather than advocating abuse (which he indirectly criticizes?). And I'm not sure under what context his discussion originally began. If he started that apropos of nothing, that would raise some questions. I'm not familiar with the guy at all, which is probably another useful context.

I pop up sometimes in Vaush's chat. The guy does not care about optics at all, which makes him easy to clip out of context and make him trend on twitter every couple of days *sigh*, and he can be a monumental asshole, and I often disagree with him, but I find consuming his content to be useful to me because he talks about a variety of subjects to a variety of people, and he doesn't shy away from confronting anyone about anything he disagrees with them on like a lot of content creators do. He's also quite good (not perfect by any means) at breaking down people's arguments, and he has a decent grasp of theory.

If you want my advice, I'd try paying attention to some of the things posted in his chat. His chat actually argues with him fairly regularly, and they're sometimes better at it than most of the people he has on his stream. Chat is fairly good at getting him to elaborate on and refine his points, but sometimes their pushback goes unnoticed. They're also pretty good at picking up on his jokes and such, so if you don't spot them, chat usually will.

Yes, and the other big clip circulating around was one where he was talking about rule utilitarianism in order to argue that even if there is an extremely unusual case where a such a relationship was not damaging to the victim, it should STILL BE CONDEMNED.

All of these clips are quote-mines. Please learn to recognize when someone is fucking with quotes; it's incredibly common in political circles to do this, so if you want to engage in political content, you have to be on the lookout for it.
