Season 1 had maybe the best animation possible at the time

Season 2 had Fairy Tale filler quality animation. Just like, freeze frames with sound effects. So lame.

That gripe, along with it's filler, kinda killed my interest in it.

At least stuff like MHA is consistent

It was just bad timing, most of the team and studio that worked on the first season of One Punchman were working on other projects at the time. If there is too much of a gap in between seasons, the odds of it being profitable goes down so they wanted to cash in as much as they could so they had to get a different studio and team to work on it. The animation from season 2 isn't that bad, but it's definitely feels more budgeted than season 1 anime. Weirdest thing is, season 1 anime budget wasn't even that big, it was the same budget a typical shonen series gets but it still looks amazing.

The first season of the show was legit, but unlike most anime, the problem did not seem to stem from "...and then they kept going, and it turns out the story was bad". There's a serious drop in quality in pretty much every level of the production. It was a drag to watch. After a few episodes, I still wanted to know what happened, but I didn't actually want to watch it.

There were a lot of things wrong with season 2 chief among them it was boring and not being about the actual one punch man. If it had been 26 episodes this might have been ok

Which animation is worse, One Punch Man S2 or Dragonball Super?

I didn't mind either personally, but I know people have long complained about both.

It's pretty much the worst part of the manga, too. Might as well not throw your best animators at it, I guess. Basically waiting on the Garou arc to finish before we wait for another season.

i dont expect much from another season but anything better than season 2 would be amazing

S2 wasn't horrible, but yeah, it paled in comparison to S1. Shame.

Honestly, unless you're in it specifically for the shonen action over the comedic premise, then the manga is worse than the webcomic. The webcomic is much better paced and focuses more on humor. And I had originally thought the manga was simply a pure improvement.
The anime actually cuts a lot of things out of the manga because of how glacially paced the manga is.

Season 1 was handled by different studio, and didnt really have any time constraints.

Season 2 was handled by a different studio and had a very rushed development time
