The series is dead because SEGA fucked up and decided to go the cheap route and made Valkyria Chronicles 2 and eventually Valkyria Chronicles 3 on the weaker handheld PSP console instead of developing those games on the existing engine they had from the original on the PS3 and keeping them there. This bad move alienated a lot of their non Japanese audience. They never even English localized Valkyria Chronicles 3. Then they made the spin off Valkyria Revolution instead of the reboot fans wanted.
