Was doing Aerospace Engineering 6 months in I was becoming physically and mentally tired from my commute every day until i realised there's no way i could keep this up for 4 years After 13 years of school, i was completely done being cooped up in a classroom all day, i needed a more practical/theoretical balance On top of that, some classes being the most utterly mundane garbage imaginable but were mandatory to pass for future subjects. Said classes had little relevance to what i wanted to do. These subjects were the non math/science classes One class was some shitty HR/Customer compliance class or whatever the fuck it was called, total waste of time. Writing some fake scenarios on how you would present or deal a client. Total white collar wank fest One class was some shitty plan interpretation/hand drawing class that was the biggest waste of time, partly because you had to be a special kind of person in an engineering class to not be able to understand a plan. Not only that you had to make an orthographic drawing of some stupid shape's. The worst thing about this wasn't what you had to draw, it was that it was once a week for less than an hour. Something that would take a couple of hours at best was stretched out to months to justify the curriculum This last class, was one of the only classes that i cared about that wasn't a maths/science class. It was an aircraft parts class, can't remember what it was called, pretty much learnt about the parts of an aircraft and whatnot But the problem with this class was that it was off campus, at a small airport hangar hours away from the actual university. This utterly burnt me out going to this class because i didn't have a car at the time It was all these factors that just completely burnt me out It wasn't even hard, granted it was first year entry level garbage and i didn't enjoy the maths/science/material classes. It was all the other garbage that annoyed me. Totally get caught up whenever i think about this, didn;t mean to make a srs bsns post --- Intel i7 9700k, Asus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, Kingston Fury DDR4 16GB (2x8G) 2133MHz Asus Z390-H LGA 1151 Mobo, Acer Predator XB271HU ...
