He knocked it out of the park


2002 Spider-Man Goblin was very fun but in a cheesey kinda way

However his acting in NWH was top notch I actually felt threatened by his Goblin here

I mean, I think he gave a good performance like the other actors in the movie, but he didn't necessarily stand out, for me.

and while I wouldn't say his performance was masterful, or anything like that, my favorite was Andrew Garfield.

Lol Willem Dafoe was definitely on another level in this

He managed to switch from vulnerable, frightend man to psychotic, murderous lunatic so convincingly it only made him even more terrifying

Can confirm

They downplayed Goblin's villainy during the very tail end of the movie in favor of a more brave approach, showcasing the complexity and yet also the simplicity of his character/performance. I'm a huge fan.
