That would require them to actually feel guilt or remorse over their actions and how they treat people first.

I don't necessarily expect people to feel guilt or remorse for what they did to me, just that they cut out the behavior that hurts me.

I only really hate my brother, and he's just biologically not capable of being a good person. Low intelligence and lower empathy, but not enough to be diagnosed with anything. The only reason he's still around is because my parents feel guilty for making him, and they feel as if they raised him wrong. They really can't handle that he was just born bad.

I'm always willing to forgive and I don't hate anyone, that's a strong word to me and it'll take a lot for me to use it against someone and mean it.

My father moved away when I was young. He didn't contact me very much over the years. We met up a few years ago and he was like he's sorry for how things went down. We were cool and hung out. We kept in touch after that.

He died recently, and I discovered throughout all the years he'd lost contact he'd been coming back to the area to visit family. Never bothered telling me he was here. I recently found out he had a will and left everything to his step daughter. Even after our reunion and the apology, he didn't think to leave me even a worthless trinket to remember him by. She got all my grandfather's stuff also and she wasn't even related to him by blood. I'm sure she sold all the family heirlooms by now.

I won't say I hate him. I'm just over him.
