Nah I mean it's good but requiring a Dark Magician means it's a lot easier to keep out of play once you know they're going for it. Also it doesn't even get the main phase effect if you use an effect card that gets its name treated as the Dark Magician to summon it. And there's also enough cards that don't target that it's not all that horrible. Heck, the best or second best xyz of all time is tiaramisu and it doesn't target or destroy the opponent's cards. Instead it just bounces cards back to the deck. And of course a weaker point of the dragon's destroy effect is it only is on your turn and it doesn't negate the effects. So it means that baiting floating effects is necessary before you can even use it.

It's to reflect the theme of the protagonist's use of various cards to overcome the rival's overwhelming power

Thanks to a really annoying link 2 monster that can let any deck summon that monster really easily dragoon is overused

It's in a weird place where meta decks deal with it easily so it doesn't affect the meta in anyway. But is still so good that it's domineering in the casual game

So not good enough for meta but too good for casual

Nope it's preda plant verte anaconda
It's effect is you can pay 2000 lp and send one fusion card to your graveyard and then summon a fusion monster as if you played the spell

Send red eyes fusion to the grave which fusion summons by sending cards from the deck to the grave and you can see why every deck can run dragoon.

Verte is a link 2 so any deck can get it out immediately and when you use red eyes fusion it prevents you from summoning monsters or setting them the turn its used. But when it's activated through vertes effect this limitation is not applied

Guess I'll look into this more I've seen the card a few times in master duel but never had time to understand what the heck its effect did
