I've seen like over 500 of his reviews. <_<

I was never that into him but I have seen some of his videos.

It was pretty solid content until he hired all the actors for the skits.

Especially when he'd criticize certain movies/scenes for having bad acting or effects, but rather than show an actual clip to make his point, he'd recreate it in a stupid skit... that had bad acting and effects.

Also I used to watch him but stopped once I realized all his reviews were the exact same jokes and yelling.

I guess the first option. I do still watch his videos, but only if it's about something I want to see. I used to watch every video of his regardless. That's how I learned about The Room.

It's almost like he was getting copyright struck on every new video he put out for that exact reason

Chris is obsessed with Nostalgia Critic actually. I probably would have forgotten NC existed if not for how often he is mention on OneyPlays

When I watched NC in the past it was long before OneyPlays even existed. Like 5 or more years ago

And then turn it around at the end taking an "eh, it's not bad" stance after bitching about problems for the majority of the review

I stopped watching entirely when that shitty Demo Reel series started.

I don't watch him and haven't for a long time but he was alright.
The thing I remember most isn't really any of his reviews but rather those fight videos he made with AVGN.
"Oh don't you talk shit about my boxes, I LIKE BOXES!"

I still watch his videos whenever he covers something that interests me.

I was actively watching Doug's NC content for years up until the controversies surfaced and slowed down a bit. I stopped watching overall a few months ago when it got worse, and I wasn't particularly interested in any movies he was reviewing. I still like the commercials videos though.

I still watch him. His videos are fun when it's just him riffing on the movie. But I always skip those godawful skits at the start of most episodes and the sponsorships in the middle.

Yeah his skits are bad and his older videos revolved around him yelling and cursing a lot. Kind of the reason why I like his newer stuff better, it's severely toned down and he even makes episodes on movies he likes. In fact, his best episodes are the ones he likes because he gives unique and interesting points on them, much better than just nitpicking at a film.

I watch from time to time. I don't care for the modern half-hour plus reviews as much as the fifteen minute videos of old. Some of the longer ones I've watched are still golden though: like the Black Cauldron review. "I'm a warrior!"

Now I'm curious if his site is still a wasteland

It might be like what Brad Jones does and allows the videos that can't be on Youtube to be archived there.

Remember when he retired the Nostalgia Critic and his viewership took a nosedive and like a month later, he's like "JK! I'll bring him back!"
