Religious beliefs that is.
According to the bill, school employees found guilty of violating Standridges standards of religious sanctity face a fine of $10,000, and risk losing their job entirely.

Aye I made a topic about it and got like 10 posts. For as much as CE likes to talk about cancel culture and free speech, they don't get nearly as upset as they should about actual issues like this.

It's horrifying. I don't know how else to put it. And this shit is sweeping the nation. I think like 30 states now have some sort of education-repression bill either on the books or proposed?

More like the right/conservatives hates cancel culture seems to push it more than anyone else.

Yeah, but the liberals theoretically would want to do this if those liberals existed or had political power. So are they really any better? I am incredibly intelligent.

A proper education is a defense against the kind of bullshit that would lead to this shit in this first place.

On some unspoken level, conservatives know that not making sense is their strong point, and enforcing that is how they stay in power.

Why don't they just abolish schools and make parents teach their own kids then? What is the point of the concept if kids are only being exposed to what their individual parents allow anyway?

Which is exactly why proper public education is the enemy of the conservative state.

It's what they want. They want homeschooling and private schools to be the norm and public education to be incredibly limited or nonexistent.

Basically. They've wanted to destroy the public school system every since they were forced to desegregate it.

The vast majority of students in an OK classroom are likely protestant Christians so I'm sure that's what they're banking on. In any case, the chilling effect will be there regardless.

How does one define propaganda?

Parents need to just shut the fuck up. Their parents weren't pulling this shit.

Now now, let's not go the sealion route.

Its not. It SHOULD be taught in science. But a teacher shouldn't use the platform of science to talk about religion. Again, thats not a controversial opinion

Any facts, history, science, or logic that makes right-wingers and religious types feel uncomfortable is "propaganda"
